This course will help you to be more confident in your use of English. Many people had little formal grammar teaching at school.  So although they are fluent English speakers there may be gaps in their knowledge of grammatical terms and conventions.   The course covers the common questions we get asked about grammar.  Things like: Is it OK to end a sentence with a preposition?  Should it be who or whom? What is a split infinitive? To be able to discuss grammar you need to know how words are classified so the course starts with grammar terms.   It then covers the following topics: Pesky prepositions Precise pronouns Vexing verbs Sentences Word choices There is a quiz to test your knowledge before you start the course.   This should help you to identify any areas where you have knowledge gaps.  At the end of the course there is another quiz. Course length - 90 minutes Solicitors can claim 2 hours of distance learning CPD for completing the course.  You must complete the feedback form at the end of the course in order to claim your hours.  Please use the reference CIA/KIRO on your CPD records.
